Leo writes with confidence and a growing sense of voice. His Viking diary entries showed mature vocabulary choices and a clear understanding of structure.
Maths
A secure grasp of place value and column methods. Leo is beginning to reason fluently about multi-step word problems and explains his thinking clearly.
Science
Asks excellent investigative questions, records results carefully, and is starting to draw conclusions from evidence.
Topic / wider curriculum
Engaged brilliantly with the Vikings topic and took the lead in our class museum afternoon.
General comment
Leo is a reliable, kind classmate who lifts the mood of the room. He has settled into Year 4 with maturity and is a real pleasure to teach. Next term we'll focus on stretching his independent editing in writing.
